Flying the papal flag at Blackfen

papal flag 016

With a few days to go before the Holy Father comes to Britain, I got Greg and Patrick to fly the Vatican flag from our lamp post at Blackfen. (The top of the lamp post was knocked out of kilter by a beer lorry.)

Having encouraged people to take copies of the official "Magnificat" booklet for the Papal visit not only for themselves but also to give to non-Catholics, I have run out of our allocation of 400. Fortunately a neighbouring parish had some spare boxes so we have a replenished stock for this weekend.

It's all getting manic at this point but we have quite a few people intending to be at one or other of the venues for the historic visit.
